Limited edition black-vinyl LP. Edition of 500.

After a year of inter-continental correspondence, Turner Williams Jr. and Derek Monypeny crossed paths in the Spring of 2023. Derek was touring in Europe, playing solo sets with his electric shahi baaja, an instrumental obsession shared by Turner. Turner invited Derek down to Marseille for a session in his aerial basement studio overlooking the city. The result was the first shahi baaja duet for either musician. Spontaneous Mars music in the shadow of enormous transmission towers, pylône electrique crackling up above in humid air. 24 hours on Mars and then Derek hit the road again, setting another strange orbit loose in his wake. “Drueling" was recorded live to Zoom recorder, no overdubs, no microphones, evening and morning, March 30-31, 2023.

2182 kHz was used as the distress frequency on shortwave radio.  The Recording Company was certainly borne out of this spirit, but not everything you hear or see will be distressing.
